Payment
Fees and how payment works
Fees are paid by card at the time of each session. I am not on every insurance panel, so I can give you a superbill (a receipt with the details insurers ask for) to submit for out-of-network reimbursement, if your plan offers it.
Reimbursement depends on your plan, so it is worth calling your insurer to ask about out-of-network mental health benefits before you start. I cannot promise what they will pay.
Good Faith Estimate
If you do not have insurance, or you choose not to use it, you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate of what your care is expected to cost under the No Surprises Act. I will send you one before we begin.
Reduced fee spots
I keep a small number of reduced fee spots, starting at $100 a session. Ask about it on your consult. No one has to explain their finances in detail.
Cancellations
Please give 24 hours notice if you need to change a session. Later cancellations and missed sessions are charged $75.
Questions
Good things to know first.
Not here? Ask on your free call.
What happens on the free consult?
It is a 15 minute phone call. You tell me what is bringing you in and what you hope will change, and you can ask anything about how therapy works here. It is free, and there is no pressure to continue.
What is the first session like?
Your first session is a 60 minute intake. We go over your history, what is going on now, and what you want to work on. After that, sessions run about 45 minutes.
How much does therapy cost?
Sessions range from $60 to $200 depending on the type and length. The full list is in the fees section above, and the consult call is free.
Do you take insurance?
I do not bill insurance directly. I can give you a superbill after sessions so you can ask your plan for out-of-network reimbursement. Check your benefits first, since every plan is different.
Do you offer sessions by video?
I meet with clients in person in Coral Springs and by secure video across Florida and New York.
Can you see me if I live in another state?
I can only see clients who are in a state where I am licensed or registered at the time of the session, which is currently Florida and New York. The booking page checks this for you.
Is what I tell you confidential?
Yes, with a few limits the law sets, such as a serious risk of harm to you or someone else, abuse of a child or vulnerable adult, or a court order. I will go over this with you in writing before we begin.
What if I am in crisis?
This practice is not an emergency service. If you are thinking about harming yourself or someone else, call or text 988, or call 911. Do not wait for a callback.
